Rising Sun on Turtle Peak

"Turtle peak sunrise", known as "the world's first turtle". Tiansuo Stone, also known as Chongdan Stone, is a huge semi-suspended stone with pointed ends like shuttles at the top of the turtle head. It is named because it resembles the shuttles woven by fairies in the sky. It is formed by long-term chemical and physical weathering, such as spherical weathering, rain erosion and gravity collapse. There are many groups of rock mass joints, which formed in the Middle Jurassic about 170 million years ago.

Wanger Stone

Wanger Stone, also known as Daer Stone, was formed in the Middle Jurassic about 170 million years ago. It is a local geological site. Its shape resembles a pair of mother and son arms together, so it gets its name. Legend has it that anyone who wants to have a son can do so by throwing stones through the crack in his mother's arm.

Viewing platform

From the viewing platform, you can see the huge stone on the turtle's back. At the same time, it is also the best observation point for viewing the pictographs of Guifeng Mountain. It can look up to the giant turtles in the sky from the main peak mountain.

Fairy Foot

From below the turtle head to the platform and up the stone steps to the left, the granite hieroglyphs you see are "immortal feet". Its formation is an enclave in the biotite plagioclase gneiss of the Paleoproterozoic Dabieshan (Yan) Group. After being exposed to the surface, it has a weak weathering resistance compared with the surrounding rock, so after a long period of wind and rain erosion, it finally forms a pit similar to human foot.

Sword Testing Stone

Swordstone is named because it resembles being split by a divine sword. It is a rock divided into two plates, the widest of which is more than 80 centimeters. The rock is the biotite monzonite of Songlin Bay Unit in Yanshanian Period. It develops vertical joints (cracks) with a strike of 40 degrees. Because of the erosion and denudation of the vertical joints along the rock mass, the cracks are gradually deepened and widened, or the joints are cracked.
