Guifeng Mountain is the core Park of Huanggang Dabie Mountain World Geopark. It is located at the south foot of the middle Dabie Mountain in the east of Macheng District, at the junction of seven counties in three provinces of Hubei, Henan and Anhui, and adjacent to the provincial city of Wuhan.

Guifengshan Park has two sets of ductile shear systems in NE and NW directions. The NE ductile shear zone is the Macheng-Tuanfeng ductile shear zone. The ductile shear zone has obvious zonation. It can be roughly divided from west to East into the cataclastic fabrics zone-A fold zone-S-C fabrics zone-cataclastic fabrics zone. The NW-trending ductile shear zone is the Lujiahe ductile shear zone. The shear zone is dominated by primary mylonite and straight gneiss. A large number of intra-plate rootless folds, shear plastic flow folds and various S-C fabrics are developed. Fragments and stretching lineations are locally visible. The shear folds are dominated by sharp oblique folds with various types and shapes.
