Guifeng Mountain scenic spot opens a new chapter of "5A"

On this day, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism issued the Announcement on determining 19 tourist attractions as national 5A tourist attractions, and Guifeng Mountain Scenic spot in Macheng City of Huanggang, Hubei Province was listed among them, officially joining the ranks of national 5A tourist attractions. This is the first 5A scenic spot in our city, and has achieved a breakthrough of zero of the highest national scenic spots in our city.

"National 5A tourist scenic spot" is the top brand and scarce resource in the tourism field. The success of Guifeng Mountain Scenic spot from 4A to 5A is not just a simple number change, but a struggle of "daring to dare to do, realistic and first", a forging journey of "condensing heart and strength, attacking and overcoming difficulties".

The realization of the dream of "5A" in Guifeng Mountain Scenic spot not only marks the realization of a new leap in high-level tourism development and services, but also fills the gap of national 5A scenic spots in eastern Hubei, which has far-reaching significance in promoting the revitalization and development of the Dabishan Revolutionary old area in Hubei Province and leading to the common prosperity of old counties and cities in Hubei, Henan and Anhui provinces.

Guifeng Mountain scenic spot is located at the southern foot of the middle part of Dabie Mountain at the junction of Hubei, Henan and Anhui provinces, 120 kilometers away from Wuhan urban area and 27 kilometers away from Macheng urban area, with a planned total area of 73.8 square kilometers. It consists of nine peaks, including the magical turtle head, the majestic turtle back and the lifelike turtle tail. It is 16 kilometers long and 7 kilometers wide from turtle head to turtle tail. The highest point is the Risk Knife peak, which is 1320 meters above sea level.

Macheng Guifeng Mountain is the world geopark, its natural landscape with strange turtles, strange flowers, pine, song, cloud "five strange" famous Jingchu, famous all over the world. Guifeng Mountain is the world's largest pictographic stone turtle, known as "the world's first turtle" and "longevity of the first mountain."

Guifeng mountain has a series of 100,000 mu of original ecological ancient rhododendron community, "the area of large, long, pure varieties, high density, the beauty of flowers, a unique in China, rare in the world", by the world's Ginis headquarters identified as "the largest area of ancient rhododendron (Rhododendron) community". Every spring, the sea of rhododendrons all over the mountains is as gorgeous as the horizon clouds, millions of rhododendrons are in bloom, stretching into the most beautiful red streamers at 30° north latitude, decorating the mountains into a sea of flowers, that burning its magnificent scenery, attracting countless tourists to come and indulge in the brilliant spring.

The scenic area has beautiful mountains and beautiful water, beautiful environment, fresh air, forest coverage rate of 95%, negative oxygen ion content of more than 20,000 per cubic centimeter, enjoying the reputation of "green treasure" and "natural oxygen bar", the ecological environment is called the national first-class, is an ideal place for sightseeing, leisure and vacation.

Since Guifeng Mountain started the 5A creation work, Macheng Municipal Party Committee, municipal government and people in the old revolutionary base area have made great efforts to this end, with unswerving determination, down-to-earth and step-by-step. Guifeng Mountain Scenic spot has invested a total of more than 1.3 billion yuan, with high standards and large investment to upgrade the infrastructure and management service level of the scenic spot, constantly enrich the four seasons tourism products, and comprehensively improve the environmental quality of the scenic spot.

1. Upgrade the hardware facilities to improve the tour experience

First, comprehensively improve infrastructure. With an investment of 520 million yuan, the Hu-Chengdu Expressway Guifeng Mountain Spur Line has been built, which is the first direct highway to the scenic spot in Hubei province. It only takes more than 1 hour from Wuhan to the north gate of Guifeng Mountain Scenic spot. Two visitor centers, more than 10 tourist toilets and six parking lots were built or renovated. The scenic navigation system has been fully updated, and more than 1,000 tourist signboards have been produced and installed. Completed the demolition of 21 households in the North Mennei Square, the renovation of the facade of the private houses in the scenic area and the underground pipeline burial project, built the Huahai fire protection pipe network, and kept the safety of the flower. 2. Innovate and enrich tourism products to achieve four seasons of fun

Adhere to the protection of the ecological environment and the development and utilization of resources, give full play to the brand effect of the global geopark, the construction of geological science exhibition hall, the construction of the country's first village-level geological museum in the Guifeng Mountain area, and strive to build geoscience tourism, geological research, nature education and other bases, the core point of the geopark, Gushou road upgrading. Second, explore new connotations. New development of a series of folk culture display, cultural and creative products and characteristic cultural experience, fully cultivate Guishan son, Guishan guest, Guishan travel, Guishan House and other four sub-brands and derivative products, enhance the added value of products, explore to create cultural and landmark famous products processing production and marketing industry chain. Carefully prepare intangible cultural performance, immersive night performance and other activities reflecting Macheng regional characteristics and scenic area theme culture to create a strong cultural atmosphere. Third, we will expand into new markets. Hubei Provincial Cultural Tourism Department will "April day, Macheng see cuckoo" into the "understanding of Hubei, meet everywhere" global promotion, Macheng cuckoo Sea scenery broadcast on CCTV for 14 consecutive years, in the Xinhua News Agency, People's Daily and other national media platforms to promote.

3. Comprehensive optimization of service quality, praised by tourists

Guifeng Mountain scenic area insists on the supremacy of tourists and service, builds strong service team, optimizes service process, and improves service quality and efficiency. Consumer rights protection service stations and tourism circuit courts have been set up, and nearly 5,000 service personnel have been trained. 4. Strengthen the transportation capacity of scenic spots and improve the efficiency of sightseeing

The scenic spot invested about 56 million yuan to transform and upgrade the cableway, transforming the original circular fixed cableway 4-person cableway into the unhanging cableway 8-person cableway, and increasing the capacity to 2,400 people/hour; At the same time, the internal traffic transfer line from Guankou Ao to Baishoutai with a total length of about 2Km was opened.
