The cuckoo flower sea in the Guifeng Mountain scenic area is known as the "most beautiful red ribbon of the Dabie Mountains", and the slogan "April in the world, Macheng sees the cuckoo" is also deeply rooted in people's hearts, becoming the most magnificent city card of Macheng. As the core scenic spot of the scenic area, the "Rhododendron Sea" has a concentrated distribution, an area of 100000 acres, the oldest and most well preserved trees, the most beautiful plant types, and the most magnificent scenery, which is rare in the world.

In 2021, the first expressway in the province built with investment from Hubei Jiaotou to reach the entrance of the scenic area, as well as the Macheng Guifengshan branch line of the Shanghai Chengdu Expressway, were completed and opened to traffic, accelerating the development of tourism resources in the scenic area and the travel speed of tourists. At present, driving from the urban area of Wuhan to the scenic area only takes one hour, saving about 40 minutes compared to before, making transportation more convenient and efficient.

At present, it is the viewing period for rhododendrons. Come along the Guifengshan branch highway to the Rhododendron Sea and enjoy the magnificent scenery of "blooming red flowers blooming on the ground" together. You see, the azaleas on both sides of the flower path on the mountaintop are blooming in full bloom, like a continuous summer sunset, like a raging fire. Soaring up, I couldn't see the end, only a bright red color was visible in front of me.

Nowadays, in addition to flower watching, the Guifeng Mountain Scenic Area has introduced tourism projects such as Guilada Rock Climbing, Netscape Forest Climbing, Mountain Off Road Biking, and New Zealand Skateboarding, increasing the fun of outdoor experiences for tourists and attracting many tourists from both inside and outside the province to come and check in to experience. The brand new Guifeng Mountain is fun all year round. Spring comes to admire flowers, summer comes to avoid the heat, autumn comes to observe scenery, and winter comes to snow.
